My name is Robert, and I want to welcome you to becomingwellnow.com. I am a recovered alcoholic and drug addict with over 21 years of sobriety and countless hours of working with hundreds other alcoholics and drug addicts through AA and other 12 step programs. I also have a degree and certification in Alcohol and Drug Studies from San Bernardino Valley College in CA. I have have worked in many different types of treatment environments including methadone treatment for nonviolent first time offenders, drunk driver programs, social model recovery homes and in a court appointed anger management program.

Most hospitals and institutions require insurance, inpatient programs, time off work, upfront money, meetings away from home and a number of other things that are not practical for most people... so you suffer with your addiction, wishing and hoping there was something, or someone, that could help.

Alcohol recovery is one of the most challenging areas of addiction because of the major role denial plays in the addiction. Almost every alcohol treatment center uses the 12 Steps of AA in one form or another. AA will even tell you that the first step to alcohol recovery is getting past the denial and admitting that you are powerless over alcohol.

Treatment can not begin until the person admits they are an alcoholic and secondly they believe that alcohol recovery can happen for them. They must believe that they can get sober and every other way they have tried does not work.

Living sober is not easy, but it is simple. Whether your concern is teen alcoholism, women for sobriety or drug intervention I can help. Maybe you are a codependent and you are seeing signs of alcoholism as the drinking problems increase.

What I do at Becoming Well Now is share my story of alcohol recovery both traditional alcohol treatment and what I have learned through AA and the plan of recovery laid out in the "Big Book" of Alcoholics Anonymous. The book was written to show other alcoholics how recovery can take place.

This website was created to direct you in the path that has worked for me and countless others. I have incorporated much of what I learned in AA and all that I have experienced in my life as a recovered alcoholic. Alcohol recovery can be yours and you can do this without going to an alcohol treatment center and spending thousands of dollars.
